The second basic component of the barcode positioning system is the barcode tape. This is a self-adhesive, highly flexible plastic tape with a clear barcode printed at even intervals. The tape used in this technology is strong, durable and able to withstand high mechanical loads. The imprinting of the position values as "visible text" makes operation easier. The tape, which can be up to 10,000 m long, can be easily applied along the travel route and can also be used in horizontal and vertical curves, such as those in overhead conveyor lines.
